Terms of Service

1. Who we are

ImgCompliance (the "Service") is operated by Valnovo OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia (registry code 16470340, Estonian Business Register), with its registered address at Narva mnt 7-557, 10117 Tallinn, Estonia ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@imgcompliance.com.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service does

The Service performs an automated scan of a website you specify. It crawls up to 20 publicly accessible pages and up to 100 images, runs a reverse image search and metadata analysis, and assigns each image an automated risk indicator (High, Medium, Low, or Unknown) regarding possible image licensing or copyright issues.

A free scan provides a summary of the results. The complete report — including every image, its matched sources, and a recommended action — is available as a paid PDF report (see Section 5).

3. Not legal advice

The Service provides automated risk indicators only. It is not legal advice, we are not a law firm, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using the Service. The results may contain false positives (images flagged that are properly licensed) and false negatives (problematic images that are not flagged). A report does not determine whether you are infringing any rights, and a clean result is not a guarantee that no claims will arise. For legal questions, consult a licensed attorney.

4. Your responsibilities

• You represent and warrant that you are authorized to have the specified website scanned (you own it, operate it, or have the owner's permission).
• You will not use the Service to scan websites you have no authorization for, to probe or disrupt third-party systems, or for any unlawful purpose.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (URL, email, billing details).
• You remain solely responsible for all decisions you make based on the report, including whether to keep, license, or remove images.

5. Payment and delivery

• The full report costs $49 (USD) as a one-time payment. There is no subscription.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• The report is digital content delivered immediately after payment: it becomes available on your results page, is sent to your email address, and can be downloaded for 7 days via the report link.
• Promotional discounts (e.g. time-limited coupons) apply only within their stated validity window.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You may not (a) resell or systematically redistribute the Service or reports without our written consent, (b) attempt to reverse engineer, overload, or disrupt the Service, (c) use automated means to create scans at a volume that exceeds normal individual use, or (d) use the Service to harass website owners or to support unlawful claims.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and report format, is owned by Valnovo OÜ. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use reports you purchased for your own business purposes (including sharing them with your team, agency, or attorney). Thumbnails and image references in the report are included solely to identify the images found on the scanned website.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL REPORTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT IT WILL IDENTIFY ALL IMAGE LICENSING RISKS.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VALNOVO OÜ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Valnovo OÜ from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your scanning of websites without authorization or your violation of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory protections of the law of your place of residence.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
